Esteve Química, a company of the ESTEVE chemical-pharmaceutical group, opened on 27October 2010 the Group’s second plant of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) in China, EsteveHuayi Pharmaceutical, Co., Ltd. (EHP).The day after, its first plant in China, Zhejiang Huayi Pharmaceutical (ZHP), was audited and approvedby the FDA. The good job performed by ZHP technicians and the solid implementation of the qualitysystem resulted in a great success for the group in China. The new 40,000 m2 built up plant, in a 80,000m2 area, featuring a workforce of 125 highly qualified professionals and a production volume of 160 m3,has involved an investment of 40 million Euros and has become ESTEVE’s most important centre in China.
