Abstract
The uniquely powerful oxygen transfer agent,HOF.MeCN, was generated in situ and used to oxidise arange of substrates in a continuous flow microreactorsystem. The oxidations studied were the epoxidation ofalkenes to epoxides, and the oxidation of amines, including highly deactivated perfluoroaromatic amines,to the corresponding nitro compounds. The continuousflow methodology enabled the oxidant to be synthesisedon demand, maintaining a very low inventory of oxidantin process. The oxidation of the substrates was selectiveand efficient, and in most cases yields were excellent.
