TKS Event Organiser and Chemtrix BV are pleased to announce their collaboration for the 2nd Flow Chemistry Pavilion at Achema 2021.
The 14th of June 2021 sees the start of ACHEMA 2021, a five-day exposition held in Frankfurt am Main (Germany). For the second time, ACHEMA features a dedicated ‘Flow Chemistry Pavilion’, located in Hall 9.1, focusing on continuous process engineering and its applications. The Flow Chemistry Pavilion is a dedicated area for Flow Chemistry Companies to showcase their very latest continuous manufacturing solutions, covering all aspects of process technology from up- and down-stream applications to fluid handling.
HOW DID THE IDEA FOR THE FLOW CHEMISTRY PAVILION ORIGINATE?
The idea started just under 5 years ago, at the end of ACHEMA 2015. Driving back from Frankfurt, with a colleague, we were reviewing what an excellent event it had been for our Company and we questioned: how we could possibly make it better in 2018?
Reflecting on the event we both commented that we had hardly spoken to each other as we had a packed meeting schedule, side events to attend and presentations to give – all positive news! However, we could not easily visit, or direct our contacts to, other technology providers in the area of continuous processing because we were spread over different locations and the event is so large. At the same time, we were surrounded by technology that was not necessarily complimentary to ours. We had the idea that if we were all located in the same Hall, this would give a focal point for people interested in the wider technology of process intensification and make it easier for both new and experienced users to engage with the Flow Chemistry. And so, the Flow Chemistry Pavilion was born!
WHAT IS THE REASON TO ORGANISE THIS EVENT A SECOND TIME?
The 2018 Edition of the Flow Chemistry Pavilion was such a success that exhibitors and visitors demanded a 2nd Edition for Achema 2021. Feedback from 2018 confirmed that there was a real need to bring visitors and exhibitors in closer contact at the Global Tradeshow. By having an area dedicated to Flow Chemistry and Continuous Manufacturing we were able to match end-users with solution providers.
Responding to the technology’s maturity and increasing significance as a viable research and manufacturing tool, visitors to ACHEMA 2021 will find a larger Flow Chemistry Pavilion and two-day Symposium (free to attend) highlighting successful case studies and developments in the field.
HOW DID TKS EVENT ORGANISER GET INVOLVED?
Whilst Chemtrix BV had the seed of an idea for the ‘Flow Chemistry Pavilion’ at ACHEMA 2015 and organised the 1st Flow Chemistry Pavilion at ACHEMA 2018, we felt it was important going forwards to ensure that the Pavilion continued as a Flow Chemistry Community event! At this stage, there was no question for us on who to approach; at the heart of the Flow Chemistry Community can be found TKS Event Organiser. As organisers of the annual symposium on ‘Continuous Flow Reactor Technology for Industrial Applications’, TKS Event Organiser have a proven track record organising, marketing and setting Symposia programs for such events.
