Voll Caps Care was chosen by Vollmens Fragrances Ltda. for its debut at in-cosmetics Global in Amsterdam. A microencapsulated, eco-friendly technological fragrance, coming to the Cosmetic, Toiletry, and Fragrance Industry as an alternative to the challenge of long-lasting fragrance using sustainable ingredients.
Saltinho – SP, Brazil. March 20, 2025. In this global hair care cosmetics market – valued at approximately $94 billion in 2024 and growing at an annual rate of 5.5
One of the most sophisticated approaches to preserving the characteristics of a fragrance until delivery is microencapsulation systems. However, in order to be efficient and functional, they require polymeric walls strong enough to ensure stability to both the chemical ingredients of the fragrance and to resist the product base system.
While many low-cost natural polymers are available, they require crosslinking to modify solubility, making them water-insoluble and resistant to fragrance chemicals. Once formed, the capsules must be compatible with cosmetic bases and survive the application process to release the fragrance at the desired moment. The intrinsic complexity of this process is a key reason why developing fragrance microcapsules with sustainable technology continues to pose challenges.
Making its debut at in-cosmetics Global, Vollmens introduces Voll Caps Care, a microencapsulated technological fragrance featuring an eco-friendly polymeric system and biodegradable additives that preserve fragrance performance. Perfect for leave-in hair care formulations.
Benefits:
- Fragrance protection against adverse effects and external agents, such as degradation and evaporation;
- High performance in long-lasting effect: up to 24 hours scented, released through friction;
- Indulgent experience focused on well-being, whenever desired by the consumer;
- Dermatologically tested.
Efficacy: fragrance durability and intensity test – comparison between free fragrance and microencapsulated technological fragrance.
To prove its fragrance durability, the Voll Caps Care microcapsule was applied to a hair leave-in base spread on natural hair strands. These strands were periodically combed and assessed every three hours on day 1, after 24 hours and after 7 days.
Results confirm that the Voll Caps Care technological fragrance maintained its intensity, even 24 hours after the start of the test. After 7 days, the fragrance was still present and released upon microcapsule rupture, providing greater intensity and durability compared to free fragrance.

Figure 1. Perfume intensity was compared between hair strands treated with leave-in formulations containing free fragrance and those with the microencapsulated technological fragrance Voll Caps Care. (Intensity scale from 1-no fragrance to 9-very intense).
