CATALENT PHARMA SOLUTIONS HAS COMPLETED THE ACQUISITION OF ACCUCAPS INDUSTRIES LIMITED (ACCUCAPS), THE CANADA-BASED DEVELOPER AND MANUFACTURER OF OVER-THE-COUNTER (OTC), HIGH POTENCY AND CONVENTIONAL PHARMACEUTICAL SOFTGELS

This acquisition substantially complements Catalent’s global softgel capabilities, adding a portfolio of OTC and prescription pharmaceutical products supplied to the North American market. Accucaps’ two state-of-the-art facilities in Ontario, Canada offer integrated development, manufacturing and packaging solutions.

This acquisition strengthens Catalent’s ability to offer customers full-service, turnkey solutions and complements Catalent’s OTC and prescription softgel development and manufacturing expertise, as well as its overall softgel production capacity.

Catalent RP Scherer Softgel is a global leader in innovative oral and topical softgel technologies for the pharmaceutical, consumer health, and cosmetic markets. Accucaps’ two facilities in Windsor and Strathroy, Ontario, will be added to Catalent’s global network of 11 Softgel Technologies facilities. These facilities house sizeable blistering, bottling and other packaging capabilities, as well as high-potency prescription softgel development and manufacturing that is complementary to Catalent’s expertise in innovative oral and topical softgel technologies.
