For the 3rd consecutive time, Gattefossé was awarded with the GMP certificate (Good Manufacturing Practice) in accordance with EFfCI guidelines, ensuring the security, quality and efficiency of cosmetic products. In 2010, Gattefossé decided to submit its manufacturing processes to an independent auditor (SGS) in order to obtain GMP certification in accordance with the EFfCI (European Federation for Cosmetic Ingredients) guidelines. This certification aims to guarantee the respect of a range of health and safety criteria during the product’s manufacturing, inspection, storage and shipment stages. The GMP certificate, which ensures the quality of cosmetic products manufactured by the company, had been achieved by Gattefossé at its first attempt and was renewed last spring 2016. As with the ISO standard, there is a three-year certification cycle which comprises a follow-up audit in the first two years and a renewal audit in the third year. To date, Gattefossé is “the only French company to start a third continuous certification cycle (2010, 2013, 2016)” according to SGS. For Gattefossé Quality Department, the level was not only maintained, but has been increased as compared to expected standards and past performance, reflecting the company’s ongoing efforts to meet customer needs.
