Get ready for Chemspec Europe 2016 in Basel

Chimica Oggi-Chemistry Today

From 1 – 2 June 2016, the 31st edition of Chemspec Europe, International Exhibition for Fine and Speciality Chemicals, will open its gates at Basel Messe, Switzerland.

The huge success of the previous event in Cologne illustrated once more the high demand for bespoke chemicals and innovative products. With 380 exhibitors and 5,768 visitors from 56 countries, the event was the largest Chemspec of all times. “In a time driven by innovation and shorter product life cycles, the choice of the right suppliers and the exchange within international industry networks play a major role. Due to its specialised exhibition profile, Chemspec Europe is a key event for buyers, traders and agents in search of innovative substances. Here, leading international manufacturers and distributors present a wide range of fine and speciality chemicals for diverse industrial sectors”, explains Nicola Hamann, Managing Director of the organiser, Mack Brooks Exhibitions.

With Basel, an important manufacturing location for the fine and speciality chemical industry, the organiser chose a central marketplace amidst the tripoint of Germany, Switzerland and France.

International suppliers offer diverse selection of fine and speciality chemicals
Compared to the previous event, Chemspec Europe 2016 shows an increase in net exhibition space by 10 per cent. Half a year before the start of the exhibition, a total of 320 exhibitors from 22 countries have already booked their stand space at this year’s event. A regularly updated exhibitor list is available on the redesigned, bilingual exhibition website www.chemspeceurope.com.

Visitors of Chemspec Europe include production managers, process experts, R&D specialists, product designers, procurement managers as well as chemists and consultants from numerous industry sectors, like agriculture / pesticides / fertilisers, biotechnology, cleaning products, cosmetics, food industry, adhesives and sealants, dyes / dyestuffs, high-tech polymers, pharmaceuticals / drug development, paints, coatings, petrochemicals, pulp and paper, textiles and water treatment.

High-quality conferences and workshops
In addition to stands from exhibitors from all over the world, visitors at Chemspec Europe 2016 will find a range of high-quality conferences and workshops, presenting the latest findings from R&D. The conference programme includes the symposium of the Royal Society of Chemistry, the REACHReady Regulatory Services Conference, the Agrochemical Intermediates Conference and the Pharma Outsourcing Best Practices Panel, moderated by Dr. Magid Abou-Gharbia from the Moulder Center for Drug Discovery. The ‘Chemspec Careers Clinic’, organised by Chemical Search International, will offer the option to discover new career opportunities.
