Schauenburg Analytics, parent company of Markes International and SepSolve Analytical, is set to officially open new state-of-the-art laboratories and training facilities in Offenbach am Main, Germany, on 18 September 2018.
Both Markes International and SepSolve Analytical are undergoing rapid expansion, with Markes manufacturing instrumentation for thermal desorption and related sampling techniques, while SepSolve specialises in equipment for two-dimensional gas chromatography and time-of-flight mass spectrometry.
The opening event on 18 September will include talks on emissions of volatile chemicals from car interiors, foods and other consumer goods by invited speakers from Imat-uve GmbH and Technische Universität München. A ‘Technology Day’ on 19 September will feature talks from leading researchers across the field of analytical sciences, on subjects including metabolic profiling, petrochemical analysis, emissions from polymeric materials, indoor air quality, and analysis of breath from astronauts on the International Space Station.
Alun Cole, Director of Schauenburg Analytics, says “With its easily accessible location from within Europe and beyond, Offenbach is an ideal location for the new offices of Schauenburg Analytics, and consequently we expect our premises here to play a key role in the growth of both the Markes and SepSolve businesses.”
