Lubrizol Opens Beauty Research Institute in Shanghai, China

Lubrizol, a global specialty chemistry leader, announced today the opening of its Beauty Research Institute in Shanghai, China. The site will serve as a strategic hub to further grow in vivo beauty testing capabilities, applying decision science to enable next-generation beauty ingredients, empower innovation collaboration and enhance speed to market for Lubrizol beauty and personal care customers in the region and beyond.

The Lubrizol Beauty Research Institute expands the company’s R&D and lab network in Asia Pacific and houses leading clinical testing equipment and collaborative workspaces based on best practices of Lubrizol’s clinical testing in Barcelona, Spain. It is designed to offer state-of-the-art claim substantiation, sensory evaluation and consumer insight generation, as well as training and education programs. The center enhances Lubrizol’s technical services capabilities to provide customized and comprehensive support to its customers, as well as to move from insight to innovation faster and more efficiently via artificial intelligence and computer vision.​
