Drug, Chemical & Associated Technologies Association (DCAT) Board of Directors has decided to postpone the in-person portion of DCAT Week until March of 2022. A virtual version of DCAT Week 2021 will be offered from July 12-16th and will include the DCAT Member Announcement Forum, Pharma Industry Outlook program, executive insights on manufacturing, drug development, and supply chain management, as well as a keynote address by Dr. Jennifer Doudna, a biochemist known for her pioneering work in CRISPR gene editing for which she was awarded the 2020 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. We urge attendees to still schedule virtual meeting with customers, suppliers, and partners during this time.
According to DCAT President Sean Diver, “Despite the quick development of effective vaccines by our industry (including some of our member companies), there are still a number of variables outside of our control that could put our community at risk, adversely influence the attendee experience and detract from the overall success of a large, in-person meeting in New York City. For those reasons, we are again postponing the in-person portion of DCAT Week until March of 2022.”
