Dr. Xiaolan Wang has been appointed head of Evonik’s Household Care business line, effective February 1, 2016. She succeeds Dr. Thomas Wildt, who will take over a new role within Evonik’s Performance Materials Segment.

Dr. Wang gained her Bachelor’s degree in chemistry at Beijing University and a Ph.D. in chemistry from Imperial College, London, also obtaining an MBA from Henley Business School (UK). She began her professional career at ICI Acrylics in the UK as a research scientist and later transferred to the commercial area as head of Business Development and manager of several projects.

After occupying several leading positions in other companies, Dr. Wang became commercial director of the Water & Process Solutions Greater China unit. In 2013, Dr. Xiaolan Wang joined Evonik as regional head of Asia. In 2015, she took over as head of North Asia Nutrition & Care.
