PROCOS S.P.A. is excited to announce the manufacturing expansion of our current HPAPI area by adding 2 new cGMP small scale and milling units. PROCOS believes that state-of-the-art technology will further enhance the timeline for HPAPI development and production to meet our partners’ needs.
Thanks to years of success in the HPAPI business, starting in 2018 with the addition of a dedicated, fully integrated workshop equipped with cutting-edge R&D and QC laboratories including 2 cGMP manufacturing lines reaching OEL as low as 10ng/m3; PROCOS has decided to take the next step in the high potency business, introducing a new manufacturing expansion by adding 2 new cGMP small scale units and HPAPI dedicated milling units.
This investment of more than 17 million Euros, will create additional capacity at the very high potent area (with OEL as low as 10 ng/m3), chromatographic purification (with the addition of a second medium pressure chromatography), introduce new technologies as nanofiltration and freeze dryer, and unlock established PROCOS technologies also for high potent products, such as a dedicated autoclave for high-pressure chemistry and particle size control utilizing micronization via jet and pin mill to higher throughput conical mill.
The unit expansion completion is set for March 2023 with start-up within the second half of the year. These new areas will increase PROCOS’ range of offerings in terms of product portfolio and services for our existing and future partners.
PROCOS’ aim is to provide a wider technology portfolio to both current and new customers in their high potent programs from early development to commercial supply. Therefore supporting the important and ever-growing fields of oncology and immunology research, and becoming a trusted CDMO for participating companies.
