Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) released a new list of prohibited ingredients in cosmetics, which will come into effect from July 1, 2021. From that date, it is prohibited to manufacture, import, selling, supply or display cosmetics containing the ingredients in the list.
Compared with the existing list of prohibited ingredients in cosmetics, this new list is subject to the following changes:
-41 ingredients are revised, among which 2 ingredients exceptions were deleted, 3 are subject to name corrections and 36 are subject to revision of requirements.
-254 ingredients are added to the list, among which 73 are ingredients only prohibited for use in hair dye products.
