In a brief interview (about 10 minutes) before the Super Bowl, President Trump talked about 8 different topic ( plus also the match prediction and the surprise to be elected ). There was no time to get in deep as Trump discussed on:
- Nomination of Judge Gorsuch to the Supreme Court
- The Muslim ban
- Russian President Vladimir Putin
- The border wall with Mexico
- Sanctuary cities and state
- Alternative facts and voter fraud
- A tax cut
- Obamacare
Nevertheless, during the interview Trump gave a very real and long-awaited insight on the strategy to repeal and replace Obamacare. He admited that the replacement process will run into 2018: “Obamacare is a disaster. You have to remember–Obamacare doesn’t work, so we are putting in a wonderful plan–it’s statutorily–takes a while to get–we’re going to be putting it in fairly soon–I think that I would like say by the end of the year, at least the rudiments, but we should have something within the year and the following year.”
As reported by Reuters, resposnding to questions about Trump’s interviews on Fox New, the Republican leader of the U.S. House of Representatives said that legislation to replace former President Barack Obama’s signature healthcare law will be completed this year, although it may take longer to implement: “We are going to do our legislating this year”
