Abstract
Over 19,400 dermatologists and otherindividuals interested in the care of human skinconvened in Miami Beach, Florida, USA during March 5-9to attend the 68th annual meeting of the AmericanAcademy of Dermatology. Two topics receivingattention were advances in photoprotection of skin andnanotechnology. It was noted that a substantial numberof issued patents for nanotechnology-based discoveriesare related to cosmetic and consumer skin care.
