Abstract
CIS display is a DNA-based in vitro display technology that enablesthe display and selection of peptides and proteins from extremelylarge libraries. The system uses a natural process to couple thephenotype and genotype and allow selection or maturation of highaffinity peptide binders against targets. In this article, we review the CISdisplay technique and its integration with next-generation sequencingand bioinformatics to provide a data-rich output to facilitate rationaldesign of biologics and small molecules and also for intellectualproperty protection.
