Consumers are showing a focus on prevention over cure, which means that consumers will want to address health issues even if not suffering symptoms and if they are satisfied with that area of wellbeing. Mental wellbeing plays a key role in consumer health and is an area that consumers will want to address over the next couple of years. Before the pandemic, stress and poor sleep management were common across the globe. However, the uncertainty of the last few years has accelerated these problems and made them even more common. FMCG Gurus consumer insights highlight this as 44% of global consumers state that they are now more conscious about their mental wellness as a result of the pandemic.
