Abstract
Fluorinated compounds are valuable syntheticmaterials but the synthesis of such compounds often relieson building block strategies. Herein we present a mild andselective method for the direct synthesis of trifluoromethylethers from alcohols using a hypervalent iodine(III) electrophilictrifluoromethylating agent developed in our group.
