Esters are well known and widely used raw materials in several markets, including cosmetics, in both leave-on and rinse-off formulations: toiletries, emulsions, make-up, hair care, DEO-AP. Esters are appreciated for their intrinsic characteristics, starting from the “green” synthesis that has a very low impact on the environment, because their by-product is mainly water, and for their safety, versatility and ease use and handling in many cosmetic formulations, last but not least for the affordable cost.
