Corden Pharma: a new aseptic fill and finish plant inaugurated in Italy

On the 5th of November, CordenPharma held a special event with their customers to celebrate the inauguration of the new Aseptic Fill and Finish Plant at the company’s production site in Caponago, northern Italy. The event was led by the company’s top executives and was attended by staff, Caponago town authorities, pharma industry representatives and the press.

The new aseptic fill and finish plant consists of two separate and segregated sections located in the production plant.

One section is for the manufacture of Pre-Filled Syringes (PFS) and cartridges, while the second will allow the production of both liquid and lyophilised vials (line 2).

The first line is already operational (has already passed PAI FDA inspection in July 2018 and AIFA inspection to obtain the authorisation for the production plant).

The second line will be operational by early 2019.
