What is the EU Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability?

One of the European Commission’s top priorities is the European Green Deal and its ambition for Europe to be the first climate-neutral continent by 2050. The Green Deal will be implemented through a series of parallel initiatives, of which the EU Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability (known as the CSS) is a key component. Other initiatives being rolled out under the Green Deal include the EU Circular Economy Action Plan, European Climate Law and the EU Industrial Strategy.
