Serbia has significant quantities of medicinal plant resources, and it has a long tradition in their use. During the last decade, Serbia’s share in EU imports has increased from 0,43 to 2 percent, indicating substantial expansion prospects for the industry. Production of teas and other herbal products have also been increasing at a rate of 10 percent annually.
