EUROPEAN FEDERATION FOR COSMETIC INGREDIENTS’ EVENT 6 AND 7 OCTOBER 2011
The European Federation for Cosmetic Ingredients (EFfCI) is the EuropeanTrade Association representing the manufacturers of chemical and natural ingredients for the cosmetics industry. This year, EFfCI held its 8th AnnualConference in Berlin (Germany) on 6 and 7 October. The EFfCI President,Giacomo Santus and Bernd Sonnenberg, Chair of the German member association KosRo, opened the event which offered a broad program rangingfrom a review of EFfCI achievements in 2011 and International Regulation issues to the latest information about the personal care market. During theevent, the EFfCI working group representatives gave feedback on theirwork. Giacomo Santus, President of the European Federation for Cosmetic Ingredients, commented: “Our most important target is the creation of ateam which joins together all the international Personal Care associations,both raw materials and fi nished products, leading towards a single, strong network of people working around a common fi eld of activities. In the next few months, EFfCI will meet other major cosmetic supplier organizations like PCPC (USA) and CAFFCI - AICM (China), in order to defi ne targets and commitments and to strengthen the international cooperation on Cosmetics Regulation among key partner economies”.
