Dr.  Frank Gupton, CLSE Department Chair and Medicines for All Institute Principle Investigator, had a thirty year industrial career focused on the development and commercialization of chemical processes for pharmaceutical applications before joining VCU. His research now focuses on the development of continuous processing technology to facilitate the discovery, development, and commercialization of drug products.

Dr. Tyler McQuade studied organic chemistry at UC Irvine, UW Madison and MIT. He added knowledge of chemical engineering during his 14 years in academics and as a program manager and member of the leadership team at DARPA.
