Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a substantial acceleration of existing trends. Among them, those tending to blur the frontier between beauty and health have progressively led consumers to reconsider the place of science in the universe of cosmetics. Propagation of the virus has also strengthened the popularity of “the skin’s invisible” beyond concerns about the skin’s microflora, in other words at the scale of the cell.
