THE IMPACT OF POLLUTION ON THE SKIN

Air pollution has become a major problem in recent decades and is viewed as the world’s largest environmental health risk factor. Hence, according to WHO, air pollution is linked to 6 million deaths globally each year.

Although there is comparatively less research studying the cutaneous effects of air pollution, there is a growing recognition of the adverse effects on skin and in recent years, air pollution has been revealed as one of the major threats to skin health.
