Univar, a global chemical distributor and provider of valueadded services, announced the opening of a new laboratory that will service the coatings and adhesives industry. The laboratory, which is due to open in mid-February 2016 at Univar’ existing facility in Cusago, Italy, will enhance Univar’s ability to provide technical, application, and formulation support to customers and producers in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region.

The new laboratory will be staffed by Univar’s experts in coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers (CASE) who will be focused on providing a variety of services to customers, including:

• Analytical and applied research
• Chemical and product performance
• Support on technical questions
